Here I thought the science was settled on MMGW (Man Made Global Warming). It appears now that many scientists aren't so sure. In fact John Christy, professor of atmospheric science at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, a former lead author on the IPCC says “The temperature records cannot be relied on as indicators of global change,” he continues “The popular data sets show a lot of warming but the apparent temperature rise was actually caused by local factors affecting the weather stations, such as land development.” And when he says land development let me give you an idea of what he is talking about. The weather station were located near heat generating equipment such as air conditioning units and a waste incinerator. And that is here in the US. Overseas had a few problems as well with the weather station located at the Rome Airport which was being heated by exhaust fumes from taxing jets. And in Britain it was located near the Manchester airport, which when it was built was mainly fields, but now is surrounded by concrete and heat generating buildings!
The "scientists" who is at the source of this fraud, Professor Jones, who stepped down as director of the University of East Anglia’s Climatic Research Unit due to the Climategate email leaks, has said that he isn't a very good record keeper! Serious? A research scientist whose whole theory is based on very specific data gathered over a long period of time doesn't have the data to support his theory because he lost it? This is too much! I thought that scientists used their data to substantiate their finding? Maybe I was wrong and we should just trust him. I don't think so! There is too much at stake to trust a politically motivated "scientist". Unfortunately his findings brought about the now infamous "Hockey Stick" chart, which shows temperatures satying steady for centuries and then rising dramatically over the last few decades. This chart has been proven to be wrong several times before but now the founder even says that his record keeping that he used to base this chart off of was 'not as good as it should be'. And now he is even admitting that the Earth's temperatures have been hotter during different time periods such as the Medieval period. He also states that "there has not been any statistical warming over the last 15 years."
This whole MMGW ponzi scheme has been driving me crazy. And now the evidence is coming out. Keep the faith and never willingly give away your Liberty to the Government! Now that's the All Right Idea!
